About DecentralizedFinance.ca

Who runs DecentralizedFinance.ca, how it fits in the MITEY network, what it will never do (token picks, live yields, advice) and how to contact the team.

Mitey says: We’re here to explain, not to sell. That’s the whole deal.

DecentralizedFinance.ca is an independent educational site in the MITEY network of Canadian financial-education sites. Its job is to explain decentralized finance to Canadians in plain language, with the Canadian rules dated and sourced, and to give people free tools to think with their own numbers.

What we will never do

  • Recommend tokens, protocols, wallets, exchanges or platforms.
  • Show live yields or prices, or claim a return is safe or guaranteed.
  • Ask for, or accept, your keys, recovery phrase or funds.
  • Give personal financial, tax or legal advice.

Who is Mitey?

Mitey is the MITEY network’s yeti guide: gentle, curious, a little cautious on steep slopes. On this site Mitey carries crypto props (a chain block, a key, a bridge) and gives one short piece of practical advice on every page.

Education only. Nothing on this page is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, stake, lend or borrow any crypto-asset. Crypto-assets can lose some or all of their value and are not covered by CDIC. Canadian rules change: check the dated sources above and talk to a qualified professional about your situation.
